There is an easy way to get the ability to take a macro shot – this is to use reversing rings. Reversible rings are also called wrap rings.

Reversible rings should not be confused with a reverse macroadapter. The reversing adapter allows you to install one lens backwards on the camera for macro photography. Reversible rings allow two lenses to be joined using their front thread.

With such a docking, the reversing ring simply allows you to connect two lenses, the ring is screwed into the thread of the light filter with one side into one lens and the other side into the other lens, then the bundle is attached to the camera.
